Artist Statement

As an artist, Amy works in a variety of mediums. She is confident in a range of dry and wet materials, from charcoal and graphite to oil paints and acrylic.

She has basic skills in textiles and embroidery and has worked briefly in ceramics. However, she focuses on her digital skills; with knowledge with adobe programmes like Photoshop, Premier Pro and InDesign. Amy wishes to develop her digital skills as she finds these very new to her.

Amy plans to develop her digital drawing skills and eventually make more digital art. She wants to also develop her digital animation skills as well, so she understands what to do if a project is presented and wishes to use one or both of these skills.

Amy plans to go into the Illustration industry. Her main focus is book illustration and open to working with galleries. She's willing to think to look into advertisement or becoming independent as an artist.

She prefers to look at work that relate more to fine art and alongside illustration and animation, however, she’s become more aware of the context of art and looks at practitioners that follow similar options, views or follow subject matters that relate personally.
